The goal of this project was to build a machine that would convert the mechanical power from our footsteps into useable electrical energy. We designed and built a box, using the top plate as a pedal. The pedal is attached to a freewheel from a bicycle and we used a pulley system to turn a generator we built out of old toy car motors. We attached a lightbulb to the generator to demonstrate the change in energy.
